Stan Douglas, Elmgreen & Dragset and Kehinde Wiley: Moynihan Train Hall

Description
Moynihan Train Hall opened with site-specific installations by Stan Douglas (Penn Station’s Half Century, 2020), Elmgreen & Dragset (The Hive, 2020) and Kehinde Wiley (Go, 2020)—the artists' first permanent commissions in the City. The pieces reflect on the building's architecture and history, specifically the ties between the 1912 Farley Post Office—converted home to the new train hall—and the original Pennsylvania Station, which opened across the street from the post office two years prior to the Farley Building's construction.
