Description

Summer in New York means that the City is filled with music. Each year, dozens of free and ticketed live music performances take place in parks across the boroughs—though SummerStage’s home base is Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. Music spans all genres, from classical to indie to hip-hop. Join world-renowned artists and up-and-coming musicians from around the globe for picturesque alfresco performances. Free shows kick off with Patrick Roberts (May 17, Central Park) and go on to include a klezmer celebration (June 30, Central Park), the Roots (July 19, Flushing Meadows) and Soccer Mommy (September 15, Central Park).  Driver Era (June 9) and James Blunt (June 17) are among the ticketed performances.
