Description
Most Americans are aware that sumo is an ancient form of Japanese wrestling, but few have had the chance to actually attend a match. This two-night event offers a rare opportunity to see Sumo World Champion Byamba; African Sumo Champion Rama; and Pro Sumo Top Division competitor Yama, who holds the distinction of being known as the heaviest Japanese human of all time. (Yes, really.) Ticket prices vary with add-ons such as sushi and alcohol; there's also a package that lets spectators enter the ring with wrestlers for a match. Rumor has it that while the fighters will go easy on all takers, they most definitely won’t let you win.
