Description
Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street returns to the stage, the first revival since 1980 to feature the original production’s full score. This dark and disturbing tale of a vengeful Victorian-era barber who returns home to London after 15 years of exile is punctuated by music from Jonathan Tunick’s 26-player orchestration. Tony and Grammy nominee Josh Groban stars alongside Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford (You Can’t Take It With You) through January 14; Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster take over those roles (of Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett) on February 9.
