Description
When a Major League Baseball player comes out of the closet, unspoken prejudices among his teammates and fans rise to the surface. As tensions grow, the Empires’ star center fielder Darren Lemming is forced to confront the reality of being a gay person of color in the conservative context of America’s favorite pastime. Starring Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), Second Stage’s new production marks the first Broadway revival of playwright Richard Greenberg's groundbreaking Tony winner from 2003.
