Like El Museo del Barrio, Taller Boricua grew out of the civil rights movement and the need for more cultural spaces and representation for Latino communities. This show, the first dedicated exhibition in years about the organization also known as The Puerto Rican Workshop, is timed to its 50th anniversary. Taller Boricua: A Political Print Shop in New York includes more than 200 works and ephemera drawn from El Museo's permanent collection, Taller's archives and other sources.
