This event has already occurred
Description
Artistophanes' comedy, The Birds, was first performed in Athens in 414 BC. The current re-staging, adapted by Nikos Karathanos and Giannis Asteris to reflect contemporary concerns, makes its American premiere as part of Onassis Cultural Center New York's Birds Festival after a sold out world premiere at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus. Performances are in Greek with English supertitles. During the show's run, St. Ann's is also home to public programming and a contemporary art installation.
