Description

The Bible’s Book of Ruth was anonymously written about the great-grandmother of King David, who was also an ancestor of Jesus Christ. Gifted to the Morgan Library & Museum in 2018 by Joanna S. Rose, the vellum manuscript, with English writing on one side and Hebrew on the other, is illuminated by Barbara Wolff’s glorious illustrations. The Morgan displays the manuscript along with 12 other Christian manuscripts drawn from its collection.
