The Boys In The Band

Description
Playwright Mart Crowley’s The Boys in the Band was groundbreaking when it first appeared Off-Broadway in 1968 as one of the first productions to depict the lives and friendships of gay men. This 50th anniversary staging—and Broadway debut—returns to the Upper East Side apartment where the group gathers for a memorable birthday party that grows less festive as the night wears on. The star-studded cast includes Matt Bomer (Magic Mike), Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek), Andrew Rannells (Girls) and Tuc Watkins (Desperate Housewives), all put together by powerhouse producers Ryan Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story), Scott Rudin (Hello, Dolly!) and David Stone (Wicked). Two-time Tony Award-winner Joe Mantello directs.
