Description
The Metropolitan Opera takes Mozart’s Magic Flute and adapts it into a family-friendly, English-language version that’s full of holiday spirit and enchantment. Conductors Erina Yashima and Steven White lead the production, which stars Joshua Hopkins and Michael Sumuel trading off nights as bird catcher Papageno, along with Erin Morley and Joélle Harvey each starring as the princess, and Joshua Blue and Paul Appleby as the prince. Julie Taymor (from Broadway’s The Lion King) directs.
