Met Roof Garden Commission: Jennie C. Jones

The Met Fifth Avenue presents its newest Roof Garden Commission: the sculptural work of Cincinnati’s Jennie Jones, who has produced Ensemble. The installation explores the sonic potential of stringed instruments—and in an homage to modernism, the artist’s use of string in the sculptures represents the ongoing and unbreakable continuation of art history. Visitors will enjoy a visual as well as an auditory experience through Jones’ use of materials that absorb and reflect sound in different ways.
