The Secret World of Elephants

Description

The American Museum of Natural History digs deep into one of nature’s most revered creatures—the elephant. It’s often said that an elephant never forgets, but the museum goes far beyond the great mammal’s memory to explore how elephants “hear” with their feet, use their incredibly strong trunks and reshape their habitats in ways that help sustain their lives as well as those of other species. With new science, the museum gives visitors further insight into how elephants think and act and why they are so invaluable to our ecosystem—plus what’s being done to ensure their survival.
