Description
This free display of public artworks returns to the Long Island City waterfront this fall. Last year’s pieces—including mosaics, paintings and works made with glass and concrete—were each selected for their treatment of contemporary issues like politics, climate change and gentrification. Amy Ritter’s Single Wide, for example, featured a displaced mobile home complete with lawn ornaments, landscaping and an oil tank, intended to evoke the impermanence of housing in the US.
