Description
The life of iconic performer Tina Turner—from her childhood in Nutbush, Tennessee, through her tumultuous years with Ike Turner and her superstardom in the 1980s—comes to Broadway. Nkeki Obi-Melekwe reprises her West End role as Tina, and Daniel J. Watts takes on Ike; Phyllida Lloyd (Mamma Mia!) directs, with playwright Katori Hall providing the book.
