Tootsie

The musical adaptation of Tootsie, based on the classic 1982 film, features a score by David Yazbek (The Band's Visit) along with a Tony Award–winning book by Robert Horn and direction by Scott Ellis (She Loves Me). Santino Fontana won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role in this audacious musical comedy about an actor who pretends to be an actress named Dorothy Michaels and then becomes a sensation starring in a hit Broadway show. But things get complicated when he falls for the woman of his dreams and has to decide whether to keep up the act or give up his newfound fame.
