Description
Second Stage Theatre presents this 35th anniversary production of Harvey Fierstein’s landmark play at the same Broadway theater where the show debuted in 1983. The show's mix of drama and comedy looks at love, family and drag in 1970s and 1980s New York City. Michael Urie stars as Arnold Beckoff, putting his own spin on the role that won Fierstein a best actor Tony. Arnold longs for a husband, a family and respect from his mother, whose visit is a central theme of the play, directed by Moises Kaufman.
