The novel that inspired a runaway hit movie from 1996 is now an Off-Broadway play—and it actually was a stage show before it became a film back in the 1990s. This 21st century production is not for the faint of heart, taking a very “in your face” approach to telling the story of Mark Renton and his friends living through the 1980s heroin scene in Edinburgh. Think graffiti, dirty furniture and a toilet that you won’t soon forget (if you’ve seen the film, you know what we mean). Audience members must be age 16 and up.
