Jacob Hashimoto: Never Comes Tomorrow
This event has already occurred
Description
This whimsical overhead architectural installation graces Governors Island’s Liggett Hall Archway. Constructed of wooden cubes and massive steel funnels, the dynamic sculpture plays with the architecture of the passageway, creating a tunnel-like vortex between the island’s Historic District and newly designed park. Launched in 2018, Never Comes Tomorrow merges Jacob Hashimoto's interests in systems, history and cosmology and marked the artist's first major public art exhibition in New York City.
