Description
This Danish café near Union Square offers healthy choices, jewellike pastries, quality coffee, food to go and plentiful seating on two levels for the laptop crowd. On display are strawberry tarts, cinnamon rolls, open-faced sandwiches and breads made from earthy grains (say yes to butter and cheese on the carrot and chia seed rye roll coated in pumpkin seeds). There’s also hot food: spelt and rye berry porridge, toasted ham and Gouda on focaccia and spicy butterbean stew with kale and butternut squash.
