55 Central Park West
Description
Located along Central Park on the west side between 65th and 66th Streets, 55 Central Park West’s façade is immediately recognizable from Ghostbusters—it’s the building where Dana (played by Sigourney Weaver) and Louis (played by Rick Moranis) live, and where many of the movie’s most memorable and ghostly scenes take place. Though this art deco gem has many beautiful and distinctive details, “terror dog” gargoyle statues that come to life are not among them. The building has housed many famous residents in real life and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
