Henry Hudson Bridge
Description
This steel-arch bridge was built in 1936 as one level, but within a year and a half, due to heavy traffic demands, it had expanded to two levels. Named after famous explorer Henry Hudson, it connects the Bronx and Manhattan over the Spuyten Duyvil Creek and, thanks to three lanes up top and four lanes down below, is crossed over by more than 75,000 cars a day.
