Les débuts de Two Strangers à Broadway, qui ont été présentés au Royaume-Uni sous le titre de The Season, rappellent que les rom-coms sont aussi bons que leur rythme comique (dans ce cas, excellent) et que New York ne peut jamais avoir trop de chansons écrites à ce sujet. Cette comédie amie met en scène Christiani Pitts dans le rôle de Robin, un Brooklynien insensé avec une voix de service client habile, et Sam Tutty dans le rôle de Dougal, un touriste britannique authentique qui passe peut-être un peu trop de temps avec sa « maman ». Chaque membre de ce duo dépareillé invite à l’auto-réflexion dans l’autre lorsqu’il part en voyage qui (surprise !) ne se résume pas à un gâteau.
