Description
Carnegie Hall’s new season kicks off with an opening night gala featuring the Berlin Philharmonic with opera singer Jonas Kaufmann. Following that, more than 170 performances will be taking place throughout the season. Highlights include pianist Yunchan Lim performing all of Mozart’s piano sonatas; pianist Igor Levit playing 18 of Beethoven’s piano sonatas; The New York Pops; the Orchestra of the Zurich Opera House performing Wagner’s Ring cycle; and other visiting ensembles like the Philadelphia Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra and Munich Philharmonic.
