Description
This fall, the Joyce Theater presents eight exciting performances from dance companies the world over. The Surge: An Ode to Sinéad O’Connor (September 16–27) is a theater production from Tony Award–winning choreographer and director Sonya Tayeh that is inspired by the late Irish singer’s voice and vision. Following that are performances from the Sarasota Ballet (September 29–October 4), Limón Dance Company (October 6–11), Nrityagram Dance Ensemble (October 13–18), London City Ballet (October 27–November 1) and Garth Fagan Dance (November 4–8). Closing out the fall are shows from Gallim (November 11–15), celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet (November 17–29) under the direction of Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson.
