Description
The beloved story about neighboring fathers tricking their children into marrying—which still holds the title of longest-running musical in history from its time on Off-Broadway—is rethought and revamped for a 2026 audience. For this version's Broadway debut, The Fantasticks instead follows two mothers plotting to make their sons fall in love with one another. Tom Jones, the show’s original writer and lyricist, reworked his classic for this new vision, with music by Harvey Schmidt. Tony winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies) directs.
