Broad City nyc

Guide de la ville de New York

default
Gillian Osswald

Madison Square Park in Flatiron, NYC

1
Madison Square Park

23rd to 26th Sts. (bet. Fifth and Madison Aves.)

Pack your performance bib and bucket drum and head to the park—the Admiral Farragut Monument specifically—to try your hand at busking like Abbi and Ilana. Even if you aren’t in the market for Lil Wayne tickets, you can stop by for a stroll, some people-watching and a burger at the original Shake Shack. Season 1, episode 1: “What a Wonderful World”

Brooklyn navy yard nyc

2
Brooklyn Navy Yard

63 Flushing Ave.

North Brother Island is a real island in NYC’s East River—and it’s about as desolate as it looks when Abbi journeys there on the show, though with fewer creepy twins and yogurt-eating employees named Garol. Those scenes were shot at the far more approachable Brooklyn Navy Yard, which houses a gallery, a rooftop farm and a winery. Season 1, episode 3: “Working Girls”

Grounded Coffee House nyc

3
Grounded Coffee House

28 Jane Street

At this homey café, you probably won’t find two friends who’ve overcome a garbage bagel of a day—complete with bug bombs, a disturbing locksmith, mace and a lotion explosion—in order to reach a (generously branded) “art show.” But if you do, distract yourself with a Nutella latte, a fresh sandwich and the original artwork on the walls. Season 1, episode 4: “The Lockout ”

KGB Bar nyc

4
KGB Bar

85 E. 4th St.

Don’t let the cringeworthy improv show the ladies saw here dissuade you from visiting this longstanding, literary-minded dive. Instead of robot impressions and dad jokes, the bar has a regular schedule of poetry readings, storytelling and jazz shows—performed in a kitschy, low-lit space with reliably strong drinks. Season 1, episode 6: “Stolen Phone”

5
Gowanus Street Art

469 President St.

Unintentionally hopped up on post-op pain meds, Abbi hits the town accompanied by a life-size hallucination of her favorite cartoon character, Bingo Bronson. Skip down Nevins Street and see the mural she and Bingo pass—just around the corner from the most magical place in all the land, the Gowanus Whole Foods. Season 2, episode 3: “Wisdom Teeth”

The back room bar nyc

6
The Back Room

102 Norfolk St

Unleash your inner Judy Garland—just like Val, Abbi’s tuxedo-clad, martini-loving alter ego, who struts in to serenade the crowd at this old-fashioned speakeasy. The space has been home to plenty of other characters in its time and traces its cocktail-serving days back to the Prohibition era. Season 2, episode 5:
“Hashtag FOMO”

7
Star on 18 Diner

128 10th Avenue

After a night of searching for the Narnia of Partias, the broads recuperate over burgers and shakes at this Chelsea joint. You can slide into one of the diner’s old-school booths as early as 6am to recover from an all-nighter, or to grab a bite before visiting the nearby High Line. Season 2, episode 5: “Hashtag FOMO”

Aerial view of Prospect park

8
Prospect Park

95 Prospect Park West

This picturesque Brooklyn park is perfect for unplugging from the grid, attending canine nuptials and taking in some “seriously amazing” nature. Ten million visitors a year might also recommend it for bird-watching, hiking, ice-skating, jogging and picnicking. Season 2, episode 6: “The Matrix”

Beacon's closet nyc

9
Beacon’s Closet

74 Guernsey Street

This fashion fun house is the perfect place for the broads to sell definitely-not-their-own designer furs, earning enough to replace the mirror Abbi smashed at the gym with an ill-fated, overenthusiastic kettlebell swing. Season 2, episode 8: “Kirk Steele”

10
Kenka

25 Saint Marks Place

Abbi and Ilana, aka Lil Wayne party of two, dine at this boisterous izakaya spot. While you can’t actually BYOB here, you can sample over 100 inventive small plates before venturing out to buy a wig or two and people-watch on St. Mark’s Place. Season 2, episode 10: “St. Mark’s Place”

11
Trapeze School New York

353 West Street (Pier 40)

NYC is a great place to face your fears, like FOMO, empty subway cars, summer without air-conditioning or—for Lincoln—the trapeze. Inspired by a Sex and the City episode, he overcomes his inner Miranda and completes his high-flying graduation here. Season 3, episode 1: “Two Chainz”

Dominique Ansel bakery nyc

12
Dominique Ansel Bakery

189 Spring St.

At the fictional Dominique Daas Bakery, Abbi succumbs to the allure of a trendy food mash-up—a macaron-churro hybrid dubbed the “churron” (“This month’s flavor is anise”). It’s a cheeky nod to Soho’s ever-popular Dominique Ansel Bakery, which is known for culinary creations like the Cronut and milk-and-cookie shot (though the scene was shot at Williamsburg’s Swallow Cafe). Season 3, episode 2: “Co-Op”
