Description
La Society of Illustrators, fondée en 1901, est la plus ancienne organisation à but non lucratif exclusivement dédiée à l’art et à l’appréciation de l’illustration en Amérique. Parmi les membres de la société proéminente figurent Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth et Norman Rockwell. Le Museum of American Illustration a été créé par la Society en 1981 et est situé dans le bâtiment de la maison de charriot vintage de la Society en 1875, dans le centre de Manhattan. La collection du Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art a été constituée à la mi-2012.
