The Riddler
Description
Jen Pelka turned her enthusiasm for champagne into a mini empire of bubbly wine. She opened the San Francisco location of the Riddler in 2017, and the bar’s successful run prompted her to open this NYC outpost two years later. The Riddler’s specialty is, of course, champagne, complemented by a tight menu of oysters and small plates. Any visit to the bar feels glamorous thanks to the gold-leaf ceiling and indulgent 150-bottle bubbly list, but Pelka brings things back down to earth with wines by the glass and caviar served with Lays potato chips.
