Le Chinatown de Manhattan, un quartier du centre-ville dans un cri du pont de Manhattan, déborde d’activités pendant les heures d’ouverture. Produisez des stands, des herboristes, des spécialistes de la viande rôtie, des boutiques de souvenirs et des restaurants attirants dominent au niveau de la rue. Une signalisation en chinois orne les façades des bâtiments et les auvents des vitrines, ce qui ajoute à la nature internationale de la région. Son nom et son caractère remontent au XIXe siècle, lorsque les immigrants se sont installés dans un cluster autour de Pell, Doyers et Mott Streets ; le quartier s'est depuis étendu et, malgré l'essor des deux autres grands Chinatowns de la ville, dans le Queens' ; Flushing et le Sunset Park de Brooklyn' ; sans parler des zones plus petites de ces deux arrondissements, restent les plus attrayantes pour les visiteurs.
