John Street 

Located at the end of John Street in DUMBO, this northernmost section of the park offers some striking views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges along with the skyscrapers of the Financial District.

Jane’s Carousel

This [restored antique](/venues/janes-carousel), which dates from 1923, sits in a glass box the park's Empire Fulton Ferry section.

Pier 5

It’s sunset soccer time on the artificial turf of Pier 5, the playing field area of [Brooklyn Bridge Park](/venues/brooklyn-bridge-park). In the distance are the skyscrapers of Jersey City, located just across the harbor in New Jersey.

Waterfront Views

Situated along the East River, Brooklyn Bridge Park offers some remarkable views of the towers of Lower Manhattan ([One World Trade Center](/venues/one-world-trade-center-financial-district), left) as well as the park’s eponymous span ([Brooklyn Bridge](/venues/brooklyn-bridge), right).

Pebble Beach

The towering anchorage of the Manhattan Bridge rises from the East River, just off the shore of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pebble Beach.

Pier 6

[The Waterlab at Pier 6](http://www.brooklynbridgepark.org/places/playgrounds) is a great place to cool off on a hot day. Interactive features let kids control the water’s flow in different sections.

Pier 2

All skate in a counterclockwise direction at the open-air Roller Rink on Pier 2. You can rent skates there or bring your own wheels.

John Street

The anchorages of both the Brooklyn Bridge (left) and Manhattan Bridge (right) are seen in this view from the John Street section of the park.

The Greenway

The colors of fall take over the park’s section of the Brooklyn Greenway, a bike-friendly path that travels alongside the waterfront.

The [carousel](/venues/janes-carousel) provides a distorted view of the Brooklyn Bridge through its jewel-box cover, designed by architect Jean Nouvel.

Manhattan Bridge

The northern end of [Brooklyn Bridge Park](/venues/brooklyn-bridge-park) provides a beautiful view of the Manhattan Bridge at dusk.

DUMBO Boulders

Located underneath the Manhattan Bridge, [DUMBO Boulders](http://dumbo.thecliffsclimbing.com) is the largest outdoor climbing wall in NYC—a challenging man-made terrain for urban adventurers.

Photoville

Shipping containers serve as pop-up art galleries for September’s annual [Photoville](/events/photoville), which features the work of 400 visual artists.

Pier 1

The grassy lawns in this section are made for lounging—and spectacular views of Lower Manhattan and the East River.

There are plenty of basketball courts on the park’s Pier 2 for finding a pick-up game or just watching layups by some of the best amateur locals around.

Empire Fulton Ferry

With Main Street Playground and the curving waterfront of Empire Fulton Ferry in the foreground, the sun sets cinematically behind the Brooklyn Bridge.
