Description

The Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library is a branch of the New York Public Library that serves those who are blind, visually impaired or physically unable to read standard print. This specially designed location features a large selection of fiction and nonfiction titles (from classics to best sellers) as well as magazines in Braille and talking books format. The library also houses a meeting room for lectures, concerts and other events, which are all free and open to the public. In addition, staff at this location teach one-on-one computer classes that use assistive technology for the visually impaired.
