Le Schoenfeld a ouvert ses portes sous le nom de Plymouth Theater en 1918, changeant de nom en 2005 pour rendre hommage au président de l’Organisation Shubert. Connu pour accueillir des comédies et des drames bien reçus (Equus , The Odd Couple , The House of Blue Leaves ), il a également présenté de nombreuses comédies musicales à succès (The Pirates of Penzance , Jekyll & Hyde ).
