Fish Cheeks has a cheeky design; its awning is layered like colorful fish scales, primary colors brighten the cafeteria-like dining room and overturned baskets serve as lampshades overhead. Brothers and co-chefs Chat and Ohm Suansilphong, whose parents owned a restaurant in Thailand, prepare Thai family-style dishes at varying levels of spiciness; standouts include coconut crab curry and steamed whole fish with aromatic Thai herbs. Non-seafood items like grilled pork cheeks with jeaw sauce and potent cocktails are also exemplary.
