Description
Opened by the team behind Colonie, Hildur is a Scandinavian restaurant with French bistro influences. The Swedish meatballs frites au poivre is the most obvious cuisine mashup; the menu also includes pickled herring, steak frites, lamb belly with crème fraiche and a burger with comté cheese. The restaurant name is in honor of co-owner Emilie Kihlstrom’s grandmother, and the design is minimalist but warm and inviting—a proper upgrade reflecting the building’s 200-year-old charm. Enjoy one of the house-made cocktails in the spacious outdoor garden tucked under the Brooklyn Bridge.
