After opening Jam’It in 2019 and staying afloat during a turbulent year to follow, chef-owner Dawn Skeete remains steadfast about feeding her community. Drawing from her Jamaican roots, she fuses classic Caribbean flavors with those of other cuisines she grew up with, including Italian and Chinese. The menu has items like codfish cakes and jerk chicken soul dinners alongside “rasta pasta.” With generous portions and Skeete’s homey hospitality, diners will feel like family.
