A dimly lit, modern lounge with leather chairs, dark tables, mirrors along the walls, pendant lights, a cowhide rug, and a small fireplace, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere.
A cozy, dimly lit restaurant with dark wooden tables, leather chairs, candles, and a bar with bottles in the background. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with soft lighting and elegant decor.

Description

Raised in London by Norwegian parents, Alex Tangen wanted to combine her familial traditions with her love of entertaining when opening her Soho cocktail bar. The result is a relaxed pub with Nordic cabin touches: dark furniture, wood beams and rustic light fixtures, adding up to a respite in the big city inspired by the Scandinavian Mountains. On the menu: a whitefish spread, Danish sourdough served with seaweed butter, Swedish meatballs, Hasselback potatoes and gin-cured yellowtail. The cocktail menu extends well beyond the requisite aquavit with drinks like the tequila- and mezcal-based Northern Lights, Six Months of Winter (a mix of vodka, gin and sake) and the Viking-inspired 13th Warrior that combines coffee liqueur, rum and pineapple.
