Billed as "the sweet love child of red-hot Mexican cuisine and down-home, barbeque goodness," Mexicue is run out of a food truck that parks around Manhattan and makes the occasional foray into Brooklyn. Find the current location and hours on its Twitter feed. Mexicue's following is fervent, so there can be long lines and a danger of running out of pulled pork and avocado sliders. The menu frequently changes, but it's safe to expect smoky short rib and brisket soft tacos. The heat can be adjusted through various hot sauces they have on hand.
