Surf Bar

Description

Surfers aren't the first group of folk that come to mind when thinking about Williamsburg. But Surf Bar's owners insist that they have "a more authentic surf bar than you have in most surf towns." And from the looks of things, they may be right. Half a ton of sand covers the floor, local photos and news clippings litter the walls and surfboards hang overhead. Authentic beachside food like steamed clams and mussels and various chowders grace the menu, alongside conch fritters and a mahimahi burger. And Ben Sargent, co-owner and surf aficionado, shapes surfboards for locals in the bar's own shaping bay.
