Description
Even in the digital age, the history and basics of the hologram remain largely a mystery for many of us. Jason Sapan (he prefers the name Dr. Laser) is a pioneer in the field, having worked with the technology since the 1960s. In the nearly four decades since he founded this museum, Sapan has amassed 200 holograms, some of which showcase the features of famous people who have sat their 3-D portrait made. (Bill Clinton, Andy Warhol and John Cage all make an appearance. Tupac, ironically, does not.) This is the oldest museum of it kind, a fact belied by its humble residence and modest facade.
