Description

This historically preserved residence—which served as the home of African-American inventor Lewis H. Latimer from 1903 until his death in 1928—examines the contributions that Latimer and other African-Americans have made to science and technology. The museum also holds regular seasonal and historical events, such as an annual holiday tree-lighting ceremony and a historical food fair.
