People view artwork displayed on large, white walls in a modern, spacious art gallery with high ceilings and ample lighting. Some visitors stand, while others sit on benches, observing various colorful and monochrome pieces.
A person walks past a fenced urban garden with colorful signs and decorations. A large mural of a smiling person in a hat and glasses covers the side of a nearby building. Trees provide shade along the sidewalk.

Description

Founded as a space for Black artists to exhibit their work, this Brooklyn museum is devoted to using the visual arts to explore, discuss and debate the current state of the African diaspora.
