Broken Shaker

Description

Tropical vibes await on the rooftop of the Freehand Hotel in Gramercy. Broken Shaker, an outpost of the Freehand’s acclaimed Miami cocktail bar, pours cocktails influenced by Latin American flavors (including a preserved-lime caipirinha) and its new home in NYC (Poppyseed Bagel Fizz, anyone?). The menu offers plenty more beachy sips like the Bad Attitude, which has toasted coconut rum, Campari, sweet vermouth and mango vinegar. The space, too, feels beach-party ready with plenty of greenery, wicker furniture, colorful accents and a soulful R&B soundtrack. Though the standout bar consistently attracts a crowd, there’s plenty of room to spread out in the indoor lounges and on outdoor terraces that have views of Manhattan’s skyline.
