Comedy Village
Description
PJ Landers, a Queens-born-and-raised comedian, actor and writer, began performing stand-up in the early ’90s and quickly became known for his sharp wit and working-class sensibility. He took over the legendary Boston Comedy Club in Greenwich Village—a proving ground for many of today’s biggest names in comedy. That experience, coupled with his understanding of what comics and crowds truly want, led him to open the original Comedy Village in 2004. In 2024, following the closure of Carolines on Broadway, PJ saw an opportunity to revive Midtown’s comedy scene. He launched the new Comedy Village, the only full-time, seven-nights-a-week comedy club near Times Square, which quickly became recognized as a top-tier destination among comedy clubs NYC is known for.
