Congress Bar

Description

Opened in a former produce market, Congress Bar gets rave reviews for its cocktails and killer music selections. The small, dimly space can get loud, especially when crowds fill it up later at night, so look for the back room for a bit of a respite and some privacy. The bar boasts an impressive bloody mary menu—including its award-winning Pitted Queen version that’s garnished with locally made beef jerky, cheddar and crostini—along with a large selection of cocktails that hover just above the $10 mark. Also on the menu: the Jim & Andy (named for the produce market that predated the bar), a mixture of rum, house-made ginger syrup, lime and soda.
