Flowers for all Occasions

Out of Business

Description

Husband-wife artist duo Erik Zajaceskowski and Rachel Nelson (Secret Project Robot, Happyfun Hideaway) stick to their schtick of arty drinking spaces with this third multiconcept joint, taking over what was a florist’s shop. The “Adrian’s Flowers” facade remains, but the 35-seat interior has been revamped: Gnarled tree branches line the bar, and the tables and benches were carved out of driftwood found in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Near-daily art events highlighting works from local artists, including Zajaceskowski, Raúl de Nieves and Dean Anthony Cercone Jr., are fueled by budget-friendly beers and house punches, such as mango sake with blueberries and kiwi, guava-shot champagne and limeade with a chili-salt rim. Scrawled on a hand-drawn menu are bar bites ranging from a grilled cheese to a trio of sloppy joes.
