Metropolitan Bar

Description

Although cheap drinks—emphasis on cheap (the constellation of specials includes $3 PBR tall boys, $8 pitchers, $3 well drinks)—rank high among the charms here, there’s a deeper appeal to this hipster gay bar, which draws crowds from far beyond its Williamsburg doorstep. The outdoor patio is predictably packed in the summer days, while indoor fireplaces keep things warm in the winter months. And there are different offerings each night—barbecues on Sunday, "Queeraoke" on Tuesdays, arts and crafts on Saturday afternoons. Skee-ball, video games and a pool table round out the divey vibe.
