Paper Daisy

Out of Business

Description

This East Village space was home to neighborhood favorite Café Orlin for 36 years. Now Paper Daisy brings a cocktail-centric concept to the venue but maintains the homey vibes of its predecessor. The bar comes from co-owners Jaime Felber and Darin Rubell, who also own neighboring watering holes Mister Paradise and Drexler’s. You’ll find local beers and quirky cocktails, including the Tijuana Petting Zoo (tequila, roasted red pepper, grapefruit and olive oil) and the Pretty Ricky Kiss of Death (rum, coconut water, lime, almond and cold brew). The best choice on the brief food menu is the roast beef sandwich, the tender meat shaved to order, zingy with horseradish and garlic and served with a heap of delicate, salty, house-made potato chips. All the food and drinks pair well with some St. Marks people-watching, so look for a seat on the front patio.
