Description
There may be no greater signifier for the 1960s than Woodstock, hence the use of the festival’s name for this Meatpacking throwback. From the groovy wood-paneled walls to the far-out lava lamps, the space’s decor is a vigorous nod to the flower-power era. Cocktails—all of which reference music from the decade (“Helter Skelter,” “Femme Fatale,” “Purple Haze”)—are each $10, which makes them a virtual steal by NYC standards. Gourmet pizzas are provided by Nino Coniglio, the chef-owner of Williamsburg Pizza, and are named for female icons of the ’60s including Aretha Franklin, Edie Sedgwick, Jackie O. and Yoko Ono.
