Founded in 1985 by renowned playwright David Mamet and respected actor William H. Macy, this nonprofit, Off-Broadway, award-winning space was inspired by the Group Theater and Stanislavsky. Located on West 20th Street in Manhattan, it seats 165 people for such productions as Spring Awakening and Mamet’s revival of American Buffalo.
