Claudio's Barbershop

Out of Business

Description

A neighborhood landmark as well as a living relic of old New York, Claudio's Barbershop opened in World War I (in a location down the block from its current site), and Claudio himself—the last Italian barber in Harlem—has been working at the shop since the 1950s. Claudio's remains untouched by time—the shop only installed a phone line in 2011—and retains the historical price of $10 for an expertly sculpted men's haircut.
